    Position Summary


    Provide financial accounting, analyses and administrative support to the District Finance Manager



    Key Responsibilities

    • Support the financial cycle for the district (financial closings - monthly, quarterly, annually)
    • General Ledger review and monthly reconciliation reviews
    • Assist district in inventory reconciliations and physical inventory counts
    • Assist with audit and compliance request, document procedures and controls
    • Perform accounts payable, accounts receivable
    • Provide office support (offsite storage maintenance, certificate of Insurance, office maintenance work orders, office supplies)


    • Acquire strong knowledge of the business
    • Timely and accurate monthly management reporting
    • Compliance with policies and procedures
    • Review agreements and contracts for financial implications
    • Perform other duties as assigned
    • Compliance with policies and procedures

    Minimum Education and Experience

    • BS Accounting
    • 2-5 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in the aggregates industry

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Strong communication skills
    • Excellent computer skills (MS Office); JD Edwards helpful
    • Capable of managing multiple tasks: time management, planning, and organizational skills
    • Interaction with Division and Corporate support staff
    • Self-motivated; Able to work in a team environment
    • Exceptional interpersonal skills- verbal and written
    • Demonstrated ability in financial/business analysis
    • GAAP knowledge
