  • Overview

    Responsible for overall leadership of aggregate production of NC West operations. Manages production management to maximize plant safety and efficiency. Reports to the General Manager. Will lead and grow all aspects of aggregate production.  Competency requirements include business acumen, customer focus, developing talent, a drive for results, and strategically building effective teams.


    Essential Functions


    • Cultivates a positive safety culture by championing Guardian Angel and Wing Man principles and philosophy.
    • Provides leadership resulting in maximum production, working closely with Sales Manager and Dispatch Manager to exceed customer expectations, ensure product quality and drive maximum profitability.
    • Drives operational and safety performance through continuous improvement initiatives that meet or exceed company and regional goals.
    • Coordinates environmental issues with Land and Environmental department.
    • Directs the selection, training and development of production personnel - appraises performance of subordinates and takes/recommends appropriate personnel actions as necessary.
    • Coordinates with the HR Safety Manager for staffing vacancies and safe operations with attention on FLSA compliance.
    • Assists with profit plans, CER’s, market analyses and special reports for the approval of the General Manager.
    • Other duties as required.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.E.) in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or other related discipline strongly preferred and/or equivalent combination of knowledge, skills and abilities
    • Seven (7) or more years’ experience in aggregates, operations preferred
    • Five (5) years’ supervisory or management experience in an aggregate or similar industrial environment
