    Position Summary

     

    Provide financial accounting, analyses and decision support to the District Management team.

     

    Requirements

    • Gain an understanding of key business drivers to maximize results
    • Manage the financial cycle for the district (financial closings-monthly, quarterly, annually)
    • Assemble budgets and forecast
    • Perform standard and ad hoc analyses for management
    • Work with plant personnel to track, record and reconcile daily plant performance and production
    • Provide guidance to ensure the district internal controls are in place and effective
    • Identification and implementation of best practices comprise a key component of this role

     Minimum Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience required
    • CPA or CMA certification desired
    • 5-7 years of finance /accounting experience, preferably in the aggregates industry; experience supervising professional and clerical staff

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilites

    • GAAP knowledge
    • Strong communication skills, both one on one and in group settings within and outside of the organization
    • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work with limited supervision
    • Excellent computer skills (MS Office); JD Edwards helpful
    • Negligible travel may be required
