    Job Description:

    • Operates Pit Loader safely and efficiently to perform all required duties.
    • Fuel/Grease the loader daily and performs daily preventative maintenance such as tire pressure, oil, grease, check loader for leaks, and all moving parts for proper function, etc..
    • Records daily operations and maintenance activities
    • Daily pre and post trip inspections are required on the plant and loader
    • Help maintain all of pit area for safety, efficiency, and environmental compliance
    • Report any problems to maintenance personnel and manager
    • Demonstrates good knowledge of lockout/tag out/try out procedure required during certain procedures
    • Required to follow all safety policies and procedures, wear PPE, and promote the Guardian Angel Safety Culture

    Basic Function:


    Operate other mobile equipment as needed. Perform any and all other work as assigned by supervisor. Must be able to use hand tools and grease gun to perform all phases of loader maintenance. Possess a flexible attitude and be engaged in team goals. Must be willing to cross train throughout plant operations. Experience in operation and maintenance of a front end loader preferred.

    Successful candidate must be a self-starter, capable of working independently with minimal supervision. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Able to recognize and address hazards in the workplace.

    Three years’ operating a front-end loader, preferably in a mining application loading off-road rigid frame or articulating haul trucks.

    Able to dig and maintain mining area grade



    • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience required
    • Must be safety conscious, dependable, motivated and possess a positive attitude in working with others as a team
    • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check
    • Must hold safety as a core value and able to make to make safety a priority in the workplace
    • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and from elevated areas
    • Valid Driver's license without restrictions
    • Work well with your hands - using power tools, hand tools, and mobile equipment to complete tasks
    • Able to read and understand operators' manuals and instructions
    • Able to recognize and address hazards and problems in their work area
