    We are currently seeking a Crusher Maintenance Technician to work at our Salisbury, NC.  This is a mechanically based position that includes skillsets from various technical backgrounds such as industrial maintenance, millwright, and heavy equipment repair and assembly.  The objective of this position is to safely restore aggregate processing equipment to a fully functional operating condition.  High level mechanical skills along with entry level machinist skills, such as measuring with micrometers and calipers will be required.  An understanding of shop level math and the ability to read blueprints, parts books and equipment manuals is required.  Experience working with heavy off road mobile equipment and/or aggregate processing equipment, such as screens, crushers and conveyors is desired. Successful candidates will have 5 years of hands on experience making needed repairs to heavy equipment from troubleshooting stages through completion.  This position will require a high level of accountability and ownership to be used in both individual and team settings.  The ability to communicate and work with others will be critical to meeting the demands of the position.  Knowledge of electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting would be a plus.


    Ideal Candidate Skills:

    • Material handling such as rigging, forklifts, overhead cranes and mobile cranes
    • Hot work such as torch cutting, welding, air arcing and lancing
    • Surface prep and finishing such as power washing, blasting and painting
    • Ability to see jobs through to completion from cleaning and disassembly to assembly and painting
    • Familiar with the use of liquid nitrogen and oil baths for contraction and expansion of fits
    • Experience using hydraulic and pneumatic tools such as a hydraulic wrench to torque bolts
    • Understanding of how to use parts books to write up and order needed parts for job completion
    • Driver of positive change and continuous improvement


    • The candidate must believe and practice safety as the number one priority
    • HS Diploma or GED required
    • Must be a self-motivated, strong work ethic individual that is willing to work with minimal supervision and at high level of accountability to operational requirements
    • A strong mechanical background
    • The ability to correctly measure parts, clearances and interference fits with micrometers and calipers are necessary to perform the job functions
    • Basic computer skills with the ability to report and transfer information
    • Must have the willingness and ability to travel on an above average level
    • The ability to work outdoors in changing weather conditions, cold and wind, sometimes rain, will be required
    • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs will be required
