    Position Summary

     

    This position involves repairing and maintaining stationary machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems, shakers, pumps, gearboxes, etc.  It also requires maintenance on dragline and dragline components.  May also be asked to fixed plant equipment, and other mobile equipment as necessary.

     

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Prioritizes SAFETY, then QUALITY, followed by PRODUCTION.
    • Ability to troubleshoot, repair and maintain all plant equipment, along with cross training on plant operations
    • Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Mechanically inclined on a wide variety of hand tools and power tools
    • Ability to weld, cut, and performs minor fabrication on plant
    • Ability to work in outdoor environment & in elevated areas
    • Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team
    • Will take an active role in the plant safety initiatives.
    • Maximizes performance of stationary equipment by performing repairs and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed on a timely basis.
    • Performs fabrication, erection of processing equipment and repair to processing equipment.
    • Ensures Preventative Maintenance services, lubrications services are completed according to Maintenance Module.
    • Trains and coaches other employees on maintenance practices.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

     

    Preferred Competencies, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Knowledge of all related safety regulation
    • Be able to work in very stressful conditions
    • Must be able to work outside up to ten hours per day in all weather conditions
    • Adequate vision and hand-eye coordination to make precise adjustments and repairs to equipment
    • Ability to walk through plants, sometimes on uneven terrain
    • Ability to squat, bend, twist, and stoop, frequently lifting heavy objects up to 75 lbs.
    • Be able to perform duties in a safe manner. Hard hats, safety glasses, steel-toed footwear, and hearing protection will be required at times
    • Read, understand, and follow instructions presented in service manuals and blue prints
