    Position Summary

     

    This position is responsible for managing the engineering planning projects in he division and providing technical support to the locations.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Project Management - Coordinate efforts of project sub-contractors and vendors to ensure projects are completed timely and within budget
    • Review capital project proposals to ensure proper selection and application of equipment and process technology. Assist operating personnel in evaluating new equipment and technology
    • Technical Support - work wtih location manager to develop the scope of work, layouts, equipment list and installation of equipment. Oversee the work of engineering firms or general contractors
    • Safety - champion the Martin Marietta safety culture. Ensure compliance with all federal, state and Martin Marietta policies. Ensures that safety requirements are included in the design andconstruction of company operations

    Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in Mining, CIvil or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience required
    • Minimum of 5 years of mining industry experience
    • Knowledgeable in all phases of plant design, process evaluation, equipment application and project management
    • Strong supervisory and leadership capabilities
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Strong organization and communication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Proficient in MS Applications (Word, Excel, Acces, Power Point,Outlook)
    • Proficient in AutoCAD
    • Knowledgable of steel fabrication and erection, concrete installations and forming systems
    • Some overnight travel required
