    Job Description

    The qualified candidate will travel to several Virginia Area locations. Responsible for weighing trucks and assuring that proper accounting has been made for the material purchased at aggregate quarry operations in the Richmond, VA area. Interact on a constant basis with customers and truck drivers. Duties include customer service and issuing weight and product tickets.

    Job Requirements

    • Must be 18 years or older
    • Detail oriented and customer focused
    • High ethical standards
    • Previous Scale operator experience or Customer service background preferred
    • Ability to Schedule and dispatch trucks
    • Must be able to work any shift, extended hours including nights and weekends
    • Ability to proficiently perform multiple tasks simultaneously
    • Working knowledge of PC based applications
    • Dependable, self-motivated and possess a positive attitude when working with others as a team
    • Able to pass pre-employment drug screen, and background check
    • Proactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environment

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • Ability to greet customers and project a friendly, cooperative, and positive attitude
    • Knowledge of legal weights & measures helpful
    • Strong geographic knowledge of Richmond, Midlothian and Chesterfield are helpful
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Basic computer knowledge/skills, Excel and Outlook
    • Competent operating normal office equipment - copiers, scanners, adding machines, computers, printers, etc.
