Position summary:

This position is responsible for diagnosis, repair and preventative maintenance of mobile and stationary equipment used in a quarry. 

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and promptly diagnose specific problems on equipment.
• Utilize diagnostic trouble shooting computers for repair.
• Will repair air conditioners and heaters.
• Perform brake repairs and adjustments on mobile equipment.
• Trouble shoots electrical and hydraulic problems and makes the necessary repairs or replacements and interprets schematics on electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Cut, weld and fabricate when necessary.
• Perform and retain records on preventative maintenance of equipment.
• Perform responsibilities safely and maintain a clean workplace.
• Utilize parts manual and online resources for ordering parts.

Requirements:

• Experience maintaining light to heavy mobile equipment with both gas and diesel engines.
• Engine diagnostic experience
• Hydraulic diagnostic experience
• Commercial Driver’s license
• Must be safety conscious
• Able to work at heights of up to 60 feet
• Ability to document work and materials performed.

Physical requirements:

Must be able to work in all weather conditions (heat, cold, and rain). Noise levels may reach maximum of 95 dba for a period of 8-12 hours a day. Must be able to work in conditions including the following: dust, vibration, heights, mechanical hazards, confined spaces and electrical hazards. Ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time
