Under the supervision of the Mechanical Supervisor but working directly with the Distribution Supervisor, the primary function of the Distribution Mechanical Tech is to maintain /overhaul the plant equipment primarily in the distribution area. Address day to day plant equipment maintenance priorities with safety and improve the efficiency of the distribution loading systems.

Physical requirements also include lifting/carrying up to 70 pounds from ground to waist as required, visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination, standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, climbing on equipment, working at heights up to 250 feet, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, pushing, pulling, reaching, twisting, balancing, repetitive motion, driving, squatting to perform the essential functions
Works in all weather conditions including heat, cold, ice, rain and in high humidity and is required to work in all plant environments. Incumbent will be exposed to vibrating equipment and mechanical and electrical hazards.
