    Reporting to the Manager of Electrical Engineering, the Electrical Engineer in Training will enter an 18 to 24 month formal training program to learn the Aggregates business and develop engineering and leadership skills. Upon successful completion of the program, the individual will be considered for promotion to an Electrical Engineering Specialist or other related position, as the first step in their engineering career.



    • Assist other Electrical personnel as needed    
    • Prepare bid packages, budgets, schedules, and specifications
    • Apply electrical knowledge in the design of Plant electrical systems
    • Work with Automation to become knowledgeable about plant process control
    • Become proficient in pricing, ordering, and receiving material
    • Learn to effectively use EasyPower design software
    • Use AutoCAD to produce electrical schematics, drawings, and schedules
    • Assist in start-up of plant projects  

    Qualifications and skills:


    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Ability to learn technical processes
    • High-level verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Proficient computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
    • Previous industry exposure or experience useful
    • Travel up to 40%
