Summary:

 

We are currently seeking a Senior Designer to join our Design Engineering team to support our growing business within the aggregates and raw materials industry.  Reporting to the Director of Design Engineering, this position will be responsible for plant process modeling, plant design, and layout within the aggregates business.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Plans, develops, and designs plant modifications
  • Evaluates and improves production volumes and process capability while maintaining and improving safety, quality, and environmental standards
  • Responsible for communicating with Operations, Vendors, Project Managers, Engineers, etc. 
  • Gathers and requests specific information from other design disciplines necessary to move forward and complete the design work on schedule.
  • Performs engineering design calculations and studies
  • Plans, develops, and designs plant modifications
  • Develops cost estimates and proposals and performs cost analysis for design implementation
  • Prepares project design guidelines and scopes of work
  • Consults with vendors and reviews project shop drawings for design accuracy and contract requirements
  • Performs all activities in accordance with the Company’s Mission, Vision, and Values, and in compliance with the Company’s policies, procedures, and Code of Ethical Business Conduct

 

Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • 2-year Associate’s Degree required, 4-year Engineering Degree preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in mineral processing and/or aggregates
  • Proficiency in AggFlow and AutoCAD 2016 or newer version
  • Experience in AutoCAD Advance Steel, Tekla Structures, Civil 3D and/or any 3D modeling software preferred
  • Experience with processing equipment and structures typical to the mining industry (i.e. screens, crushers, conveyors, feeders, pumps, etc.)
