The database administrator will be responsible for the end-to-end implementation of the Microsoft SQL Server database systems.  The DBA will be responsible for the build and testing of new database environments, enhancements, administration, backup and implementation support.



  • 4+ years of experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator
  • Strong Experience with SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2, and 2012 databases, Integration Services, and Reporting Services in software development and production environments
  • Technical knowledge and experience with database environments, tools, utilities, configurations, backup and recovery, job scheduling, release management, change management and compliance
  • Experience with SQL Server Patch implementation
  • Solid experience with SQL Server monitoring, reporting and alerting
  • Solid experience with SQL server performance tuning
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional SQL (Transact-SQL) skills
  • Able to work after-hours, and be on-call
  • Able to participate in quarterly server maintenance weekends, and recovery exercises
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks to best meet overall goals
  • Experience with Data recovery methods
  • Experience in writing stored procedures
  • Strong documentation skills 


  • B.A. or B.S. in Information Systems or related field or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of SSIS packages and SSRS reports
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with implementation and maintenance of High Availability implementations – Availability Groups, Database Mirroring and Failover Clustering
  • Strong Experience with SQL Server 2014 and 2016 in software development and production environments
  • Awareness of database design patterns and working experience of object-relational mapping
  • Extensive knowledge of disaster recovery processes and procedures and be able to write, maintain and implement a disaster recovery plan
