Position Summary: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for maintaining operational scheduling tools as directed by Superintendents (trucking requirements, asphalt and grading materials, and crew and equipment assignments).
  • Receiving of daily shipment tickets and running a ticket tape report.
  • Work closely with Superintendents, plant personnel, customers and logistics team.
  • Working with all levels of management.
  • Ability and willingness to work in field as needed to collect appropriate measurements, and project information.

 

  • Qualifications:
  • Good communication skills and a Team Player.
  • Willing to work hours that are associated to the asphalt industry.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Must be able to meet minimum physical standard required by Martin Marietta.
  • 2 years’ experience in an office environment performing administrative support functions.
  • Maintain current Driver’s license.
  • Must be able to multi task and work independently.
  • Strong knowledge of road and parking lot construction a plus.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Ability to use “Critical thinking” to make decisions.
  • Punctual and reliable; good attendance required.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn new skills.
  • Able to “Problem solve” in an exciting and fast paced environment.

 

  • Physical Requirements & Conditions:
  • Ability to multi task and work independently.
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Willing to work overtime and weekends as needed.
