We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our corporate accounting team. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting, this position will be responsible for providing financial accounting, reporting, and analysis, with a focus on continuous process improvements with the organization.

 

Position Summary:

 

  • Heavily involved in the month-end close process

 

  • Responsible for the preparation and maintenance of monthly accruals and allocations across multiple divisions

 

  • Provide account analysis, including researching and explaining fluctuations

 

  • Assist in preparation of annual budget for corporate business units

 

  • Provide assistance with quarterly and annual reporting

 

  • Preparation of account reconciliations

 

  • Responsible for managing the annual Asset Retirement Obligation (“ARO”) evaluation and analysis

 

  • Evaluate and recommend new approaches and procedures that result in process improvements and efficiencies

 

  • Work closely with internal and external auditors

 

  • Responsible for maintaining the integrity of the company’s chart of accounts and business unit structure

 

  • Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA highly preferred

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience; Big 4 or large public accounting experience highly preferred

 

  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

 

  • Must be a self-starter and a quick learner who can work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision

 

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

 

  • Detailed oriented with an ability to identify and resolve problems both independently and as part of a team

 

  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Excel; JD Edwards skills desirable

 

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills

 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization

 

  • Strong organizational and time management ability

 

  • Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and work with team members in a hands-on capacity
