Job Description:              

Martin Marietta is currently looking to hire a Production Shift Supervisor.  The Production Shift Supervisor is responsible for maintaining an injury free work environment, ensuring environmental compliance, and quality assurance. This position leads production personnel and utilizes equipment, to maintain maximum productivity levels. The Production Shift Supervisor will monitor shift reports, direct resources as needed, and communicate with other departments. This position will trouble shoot and lead corrective actions to sustain a productive work environment to support product delivery and customer service.


Essential Functions:

  • Value and Promote safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company values, policies, and compliance requirements
  • Supervise production personnel, utilize equipment, and maintain maximum productivity levels.
  • Communicate effectively to lead, train, and motivate teams
  • Provide key leadership for shift operations – take appropriate action when required
  • Monitor product quality and take appropriate actions when not meeting specifications
  • Lead change and implement continuous improvement
  • Understand and Lead under the labor agreement
  • Track and report attendance
  • Administer and document training for hourly personnel
  • Maintain and enforce good housekeeping


  • Minimum 2 years industrial supervisory experience
  • Basic understanding of safety regulations and environmental compliance
  • Strong Interpersonal and Communication Skills (both written and verbal)
  • Ability to resolve complex situations related to operations as well as personnel
  • Troubleshooting skills and Mechanical aptitude a plus
  • Some Computer Skills
  • Flexibility to work any shift (day / swing / night)
  • Mining and Kiln Experience a plus, but not necessary
