Summary:

 

Team Lead – Order Fulfillment Systems will be part of the Enterprise Applications team and responsible to lead the team supporting the order fulfillment systems from Command Alkon (Apex, Command Series and Seltec). Your team will consist of Business Analysts, System Analysts and POS Administrators, that you are responsible for, to help manage the order fulfillment systems. You will also be working with IS team members from other functional areas, such as backoffice applications (JDE Edwards ERP), DBAs, Network and FieldTech team members. You will be working from our corporate location in Raleigh, NC.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Manage the staff by recruiting, training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations and appraising their performance
  • Work with the business process owners and stakeholders from all lines of businesses to understand their plans and requirements (strategic and tactical) to incorporate into IS plans and vice versa
  • Responsible for the architecture and roadmap for the order fulfillment systems (Command Alkon products Apex, Command Series & Seltec)
  • Administer, maintain, trouble-shoot software and application issues, manage problem reporting and follow up with order fulfillment system vendor for problem resolution
  • Liaison between software provider and site(s) and also liaison between user community and the IS team members
  • Keep up with hardware requirements and the vendor application software requirements being compliant with hardware and software
  • Roll-out new feature, patches, and complete releases. Facilitate system testing plans and communicate roll-out/upgrade schedules to the users and coordinate with other IS team members (including Application Development team, Infrastructure teams and the field tech team members)
  • Understand Martin Marietta SDLC and make sure the methodology is followed for functional and technical designs, test plans and execution
  • Occasional travel (~10%) to the sites to observe functions and to work with the users

 Qualifications and Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and you are passionate about servicing customers and end-users
  • In-depth experience working with one or more products/solutions from Command Alkon (Apex, CommandSeries & Seltec)
  • Combine technical problem solving skills with the ability to debug operational and system issues and able to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language
  • Expert in windows applications and windows systems administration
  • Create detailed technical specifications and create solutions within the application environment that achieve the desired end-state
  • Able to make sure the non-functional requirements (such as security, performance, roll-back, etc.) are factored in the technical design and the project plan
  • Manage the execution of test cases to run unit test and manage defect tracking for development
  • Understand end-to-end application environment and work with other technical analysts and business analysts to validate capabilities are being built according to strategic direction
  • Validate business and technical requirements are met during the SDLC process
  • Experience with printers, remote computer management, including backup is preferred
  • Experienced with SQL writing, reporting (Crystal reports) and troubleshooting
  • Able to work with users daily, to support their issues, to understand and document their system requirements, work with other team members to implement the changes
  • Understand and support SOX financial controls and compliance
  • Able to communicate within all levels of organization, both written and verbal
