The Project Clerk will be responsible for a variety of tasks ranging from office to production work.  

Essential Functions

  1. Ensure contractors and vendors are in compliance with MSHA and Company Safety and Health expectations.
  2. Provide a high level of accuracy and efficiency with MS Word/Excel Programs for data entry, developing tracking and auditing systems.
  3. Provide accurate inventory support.
  4. Supports the Project Manager by efficiently and accurately auditing for safety compliance and inventory integrity.
  5. Ability to safely operate construction equipment.
  6. The ability to perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position does not have direct reports.

Work Environment

This job operates 65% of the time in an office setting. 35% of the time will be in the Quarry and Mine environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.


Occasional travel will be required.  Out-of-area and overnight travel will be expected.

Required Education and Experience
