    POSITION SUMMARY

     

    The Administrative Assistant’s primary responsibility is to supply administrative support to the Sales team.  This position will report directly to the plant manager with a dotted line to the senior sales representative.   

     

     

    ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Provide administrative support for sales representative team
    • Assist in answering customer calls and sales representative emails
    • Place orders and quotes for customers
    • Obtain pricing and request quotes from vendors
    • Assisting with monthly forecasting
    • Oversee cash management by reviewing and balancing daily cash sales and deposits
    • Assist with credits and re-bill, and resolve unapplied payments and accounts receivable
    • Build and grow small to mid-level customer base
    • Generate new bid opportunities through Builders Exchange and Building Connected
    • Assist sales team on reports and projects

     

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

    • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
    • 1-2 years of administrative experience, preferably in the construction industry

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong administrative and organizational skills with an attention to detail
    • Strong time management and prioritizing skills with ability to multi-task
    • High level of customer focus and care
    • Proficient with MS Excel, Word and Outlook
    • Knowledge of Access and PowerPoint, preferred
