Consists of, but not limited to, being responsible for sales of Ready Mix Concrete products in designated market area. Maintain positive relationship with all customers. Work with Sales Manager to ensure maximum market penetration at best possible price, making every effort to develop all new markets and customers as possible. Assist customers in making the best selection of Ready Mix products for each situation. Maintain contact with operations as to material availability and keep them informed of special product needs.
Call on and develop relationships with a Ready Mix customers in the San Antonio market area to meet their construction needs while achieving annual sales goals regarding selling price, yardage and sales revenues
Effectively administer and communicate quotations, sales reports, expense accounts, and any other sales data necessary to meet job expectations
Develop new customers and increase company’s market share and profitability in market area
Assist ASM/DSM in developing annual sales plan
Provide frequent personal contact with key customer base to maintain maximum market penetration and profitability for Martin Marietta and ensure customer satisfaction
Effectively communicate with operating personnel to ensure plants are meeting customer needs and that proper inventory levels, particularly key products, are sufficiently maintained
Work closely with district sales coordinators regarding new accounts and

Liaison between customer/production/dispatch pertaining to all customer and job site related problems.
Strives for maximum utilization of equipment and people.
Proactive in resolving customer disputes with regard to pricing, yield, etc.
Estimates customer jobs pertaining to concrete needs.
Makes and closes sales at required volumes.
Maintains current knowledge of available/upcoming work in assigned geographic market
Identifies new markets/customers and fosters relationships with same as well as current customer base.
Identifies opportunities for value added selling which will benefit both the customer and Martin Marietta
Keeps abreast of technical advancements and innovative products within the industry.
Responsible to assist with the timely collection of customers’ aged accounts.
Participates in annual budgeting and profit planning.
