We are seeking a Deskside Support Specialist who will provide hardware and software technical support to our Dallas, TX office.  You will report to the Team Leader of Field Services and will be responsible for the installation and troubleshooting of computers, printers, and other deskside support activities.  

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Identify and resolve potential issues that could adversely impact End User experience
  • Provide on-call, after hours and vacation coverage of Field Tech support by phone
  • Ensure corporate standards are met and being followed
  • Record software licenses to ensure compliance with vendor contracts
  • Maintain and keep current the information in the company's computer asset database

 

Qualifications and skills:

 

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science preferred
  • A+ Network or CCNA certifications preferred
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in servicing/deploying computer equipment preferred
  • PC and laptop knowledge required
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Detail oriented with ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Strong troubleshooting skills; proven analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Strong network skills a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues
