Position Summary

 District level Analyst for the Asphalt & Paving business units. Includes reporting responsibility for the business units and interaction with managers for issue resolution and other assigned responsibilities.

 

Job Duties

  • Perform formal monthly job/profit reviews including cost and projected cost reports with project manager/estimator to review current position of jobs
  • Hold monthly job cost performance meetings with GMs reviewing job cost and cost to complete analysis
  • Track and review all cost associated to job cost with the sales and operations personnel
  • Adjust job revenue and/or margin to include any budget overages or project revisions
  • Train and educate sales and operations personnel on how to read and understand various job cost reports relating to jobs, fleet and indirect cost
  • Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts
  • Responsible for monthly close for Paving product line
  • Assist in building and updating all costs for bidding purposes and update bidding and tracking software accordingly
  • Generate revenue recognition for month end closing process by area
  • Maintain equipment listing including rental rates and responsible areas
  • Create Daily, weekly and monthly tracking reports for various job costs including labor and equipment reports, equipment P&L reports, invoicing and various others
  • Identify and notify appropriate personnel of any pertinent budget overages to help ensure we bill for all work performed and try to mitigate losses

Qualifications

  • Four year degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills, particularly Excel
  • Ability to learn and become proficient with new systems including, JDE, Bid2Win and Build2Win
  • Ability to combine mass data sets into cohesive detailed reports
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines and work well both independently and with a team
  • Willingness to do whatever is needed to get the job done
  • Develop positive working relationships with Operations, Peers and Management.
  • Travel along the Front Range (up to 10%)
