The Southwest Management Associate Program is a twenty four month on-the-job learning experience.
Each trainee is assigned to either the Southwest Aggregates or the Ready Mix division for on-the-job training. Each trainee will spend two to three months in each job function within the line of business and upon completion will understand all the elements of running that particular operation from all functions within the organization.
As a management associate, you will receive daily supervision from your assignment supervisor, and will receive overall guidance for your district sponsor (either the VP/GM and/or the Area Manager).
Each assignment has a set of training objectives which you are expected to accomplish while you help to support the assignment location’s work objectives.
In addition, you may be given special projects to work on while you are in the program.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in: Supply Chain Management, Civil, Mechanical, or Mining Engineering, Construction Management or Concrete Industry Management and hold a valid driver’s license. Individual must possess: the ability to learn technical processes, high-level verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. Proficient computer skills (MS Word and Excel) needed. Previous industry exposure or experience useful.
