Position Summary


Provide professional and technical assistance to plant site operations and ensure procedures, practices and programs are consistent with established Corporate, local, state and Federal regulations for Martin Marietta locations.



  • Implement, monitor and maintain safety, health and human resource programs and facilitate corrective measures as necessary
  • Provide guidance to management on employee relations issues, training, safety, investigations, worker's compensation, recruitment and hiring, orientation, and benefits and policy questions in a non-union environment
  • All safety functions related to MSHA/OSHA as necessary
  • Perform other job duties as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline or equivalent experience required          
  • 5+ years human resources and/or safety experience, preferably in mining, heavy manufacturing or construction environment   

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities       

  • Knowledge of and experience with MSHA rules and requirements
  • Knowledge of federal and state employment law, rules and requirements          
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills    
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook    
  • Up to 40% travel required
