Third Shift Foreman:

 

Position Summary

 

Supervise and coordinate maintenance best practices for a fleet of mining process equipment supporting a 1.5 MTPY hard rock quarry.

 

Requirements

  • Responsible for training, scheduling, and leading hourly maintenance employees, as well as contract maintenance activities throughout the operation
  • Improve and manage maintenance costs, minimize downtime through effective preventive maintenance program
  • Successfully implement and help coordinate the company’s Safety Program and ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal regulations
  • Willingness and flexibility to work other shifts and weekends when necessary

Minimum Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience required
  • 5+ years of experience in mining or construction industry
  • 3 years in a supervisory/ leadership position
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and motivate

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understands accountability; proven strong leadership skills and a track record for creating employee ownership of safety, production, and quality
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to prioritize, delegate and manage multiple tasks with strong planning skills
  • Working knowledge of crushing and conveyor equipment, quality control in aggregate production
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose production
  • Project management and installation experience; capital project management experience
  • Excellent verbal and written skills; ability to interact effectively with internal and external (i.e. vendors and contractors) individuals
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;  JDE experience a plus
