The Area Quality Control Manager will be responsible for all aspects of product quality for the ready mix facilities within their organization. The Area Quality Control Manager will also supervise all quality control technicians, provide direction to all quality related activities and will act as a professional product quality resource to all value added product organizations. In addition, the Area Quality Control Manager will oversee regular incoming, in process, and final product sampling and testing that may be required. This position also reviews specifications and ensures that products meet the engineering need on projects.
Minimum Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
ACI Field Level 1 required.
5 years ready mix experience preferred.
Professional Engineer License preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. up to 10 times per day.
Ability to walk and stand on uneven or slippery surfaces for 8+ hours a day.
Ability to visually inspect concrete and/or ingredients for acceptance.
Ability to shovel wet concrete up to 5 times a day.
Ability to use vibrating tools.
Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather.
Ability to work in areas with the potential for high noise levels.
Ability to tolerate working at heights up to 9 feet.
Ability to operate the Company vehicle for a minimum of 8 hours per day including entering and exiting the vehicle frequently.
