A snapshot of what you will do:

As a software engineer at Martin Marietta, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining web and mobile software applications. You will be able to work as part of a team of software engineers, QAs, BAs, ERP Developers, and others to collaborate to ensure the best business solutions are being created.

  • Building Java applications
  • Work with internal customers and product owners to identify user stories and features
  • Participation in and optimizing of code reviews
  • Helping to create development standards and adhere to existing ones
  • Working with DevOps to build operations while collaborating to build automation processes
  • Using Git at an advanced level
  • Setting objectives, managing project timelines and seeing projects to completion
  • Occasionally working on projects outside of normal scope of this role


Some things you need to have done (requirements):

  • Graduated with a Bachelor’s degree, higher preferred
  • Built and maintained web applications in Java (or related language)
  • Familiar with SQL and Oracle and know how to pull/push data to them
  • Writing Web Services in WebLogic or Tomcat
  • Writing JavaScript for Node.js
  • Developed excellent communication (verbal, written, and presentation) skills


This position is based in Raleigh, NC. You must be able to relocate within a reasonable time frame.
