As a Solutions Architect you will design, develop and deploy ETL software, and reports needed to support a variety of business needs. You will work extensively with T-SQL and PL/SQL in an SQL Server and Oracle database environments while also mentoring junior engineers

 

 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Leveraging Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services to design and develop solutions to integrate with internal applications and also with customers and vendors.
  • Create requirements documents.
  • Create reports per requirements.
  • Create technical specification documents.
  • Participate in QA and user acceptance testing.

 

Requirements:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / MIS or equivalent experience required.
  • Adherence to and compliance with the Martin Marietta’s shared values and Code of Ethics.
  • Must have the ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, be attentive to detail, and understand implications for the business.
  • Ability to work independently, or in groups, while maintaining a courteous attitude when dealing with customers and users.
  • Ability and willingness to complete several concurrent tasks in a fast-paced, detail-oriented, multi-tasking environment.
  • Ability to set objectives, manage project timelines and see projects to completion.
  • Ability to explain technical terms in everyday language.
  • Continually updates skills and knowledge.
  • Strong experience writing stored procedures/functions, creating tables, indexes and views in Transact-SQL and/or PL/SQL.
  • Strong experience building ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Strong experience in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to learn new technologies.
  • 5+ years' experience using Microsoft Technologies (SQL Server 2005/2008/2008 R2, Visual Studio 2008/2010/2012).
  • 5+ years' experience writing stored procedures/functions, creating tables, indexes and views in Oracle PL/SQL.
  • 3+ years' experience implementing SSIS.
  • 5+ years' experience implementing SSRS.
  • 1+ Experience in writing complex reports in Crystal Reports.

 

Preferred:  

  • Master's degree in a related discipline
  • SQL Server migration from 2008 R2 to 2014
  • SSIS and SSRS migration from 2008 R2 to 2014
  • Experience with other Microsoft languages and technologies, including Visual Basic.Net, SharePoint, Visual Studio Team System (VSTS), and Team Foundation Server
  • Experience with leading Middleware solutions

 

This position is based in Raleigh, NC. You must be able to relocate within a reasonable time frame.
